There are different categories of fathers: residential and present emotionally, residential but emotionally absent, non-residential but involved in raising the children, non-residential and uninvolved. All these categories have differing impact on personality development of the child. Boys and girls are often affected differently.

Very often, the father wound emanates from two phenomena:

  • Commission – the things that your father did (committed) that caused you harm.
  • Omission – the things that you father did not do (omitted) that caused you harm.

Just like the mother wound, the father would exist on two levels:

  • Individual level: This refers to behavioural patterns that originated with your father that caused you consistent harm.
  • Collective level: This refers to the collective pain caused by men. These are generally passed from one generation to the other.

About The Course

How will this course work?

This is a self-paced healing journey with access to learning and healing information that you can go through at your own pace.
Once you enrol, you will register as a learner in Afrika Ikalafe Learning platform. When you register, use the same email address that you use when making the payment. Registration to the learning platform gives you access to all pre-recorded lessons, as well as a healing exercises which will guide you from one week to another. In case you feel the overwhelming need to process the information with the facilitator, you can book a private session with Dr Motsei.

Group Support

Where possible, you are encouraged to enrol as a group of friends/colleagues or members of a club etc. In this way, you can tackle weekly reflections together at a time that is convenient for you. A special discount is offered to group registrations.
